Celebrate the Humanities!
NJCH will hold a cocktail reception and awards ceremony at the Montclair Art Museum on October 20, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. We are delighted to present Ideologies and American Ideals: From the Cold War to the War on Terror, a conversation with James Leach, Chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities, and John V. Fleming, this year’s Book Award winner (The Anti-Communist Manifestos: Four Books That Shaped the Cold War), moderated by Stanley N. Katz. Jeanne DelColle, history teacher at Burlington County Institute of Technology, will be honored as Teacher of the Year.

PROGRAMS OFFERED BY NJCH

Join NJCH and the Rutgers School of Law-Camden for a thought provoking examination of Camden's environmental problems on September 14, at 6:30pm, Rutgers University-Camden. This panel discussion and dialogue will explore this issue through history, law, ethics and public policy. For more information, click here.

A Place Out of Time: The Bordentown School and Revolution '67 will be shown at New Jersey public libraries as part of the NJCH Justice program. Each screening will be followed by a scholar-facilitated discussion which will connect the film to issues of race, economics, urban development, education and justice.
